No son necesarias demasiadas presentaciones, Half Life 2 es la secuela directa del popular y exitoso Half Life, un juego que junto a otros como Counter Strike supuso toda una revolución en el genero de los juegos de acción en primera persona.
Half Life 2 nos ofrece disparos, emoción, estrategias de juego y acción trepidante, y un entorno gráfico 3D muy realista y variado, con enormes mapeados. Pero además encontraremos un cuidadísimo argumento y un hilo conductor a través de una historia que nos absorberá. Esta característica es la que le dotó de personalidad propia frente a los juegos de este estilo existentes hasta la fecha de su aparición.
En esta versión de Half Life encontraremos también como extra la secuela Counter-Strike: Source, también de la compañía Valve, con nuevos motores gráfico y físico, y con escenarios completamente rediseñados.
